Make a Street Address Sign
Use this technique to make wood signs for your home or business to indicate address, direction, or entry. Tip: You can also carve away the outside of the letters or numbers for a raised-letter effect.
Step 1
Stain board with your favorite color of wood stain, let dry. Apply layer of varnish over entire sign, let dry. Using a pencil and a template, transfer your street address to the board.
Step 2
Use the Dremel 8100 and a 191 high speed cutter to carve out the numbers to a uniform depth.
Step 3
Sand and clean carved areas with 511 abrasive buff.
Step 4
Paint address numbers a contrasting color to the wood and let dry. Mount as required.
