How to Update Your Firmware on the 3D40 & 3D40 FLEX

Option 1: Updating Via Internet Connection

Connect your printer to the internet using directions found HERE . If your firmware is outdated you will be automatically prompted to update on your machines built in screen. Select yes and wait for your firmware to upload. The firmware will update and then automatically restart your machine. When the machine reboots, the firmware will be updated and you are ready to start printing again.

Option 2: Updating Via USB Stick

Download the latest firmware update. Make sure that you unzip the downloaded folder and extract the .exe file onto your thumb drive. Insert the thumb drive into your printer and the .exe file will autmatically begins to update the firmware on your machine, if the .exe file was extracted from the .zip folder. The firmware will update and then automatically restart your machine. When the machine reboots, the firmware will be updated and you are ready to start printing again.
